What is Invisalign Express?

Invisalign Express is an orthodontic treatment that works similarly to traditional Invisalign aligners but has a shorter treatment time. It is mostly used to treat minor crowding and spacing issues, orthodontic relapse, or to help prepare for bonding, veneers or any restorative cosmetic dentistry treatments. It is commonly used for patients who’s misalignment or teeth crowding issues can be treated with 10 sets of aligners or a treatment time of six months.

How long does the process take?

Invisalign Express has faster treatment time compared to the traditional Invisalign treatment. Invisalign Express can treat minor bite issues and consist of fewer sets of aligners usually between five to 10 which are swapped out every two weeks compared to traditional clear aligners that can take 25 or more sets. FAQs

Who can be treated with the Express version?

Invisalign Express has similar benefits to Invisalign but at a faster treatment time. That being said, Invisalign has its limitations. Below are the criteria for you to be a candidate:

  • Minimal rotation of the front teeth
  • Less than 2 mm of midline correction needed
  • Less than 2 mm of crowding or spacing per arch
  • Less than 1.5 mm of expansion needed per arch

If you don't meet the following criteria, then, traditional Invisalign express will be the appropriate treatment plan.

How many trays do I need for Invisalign LIte?

Invisalign Express needs 5 to 10 trays to complete the treatment.
