About Littleton, Colorado
The City of Littleton is a home rule municipality situated in Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson counties in the state of Colorado. It is also the county seat of Arapahoe County and is home to over 41,737 residents as of 2010, making it the 20th most populous city in Colorado. A great percentage of the City’s residents work in health care, educational services, and social assistance.
Littleton is home to a number of outdoor activities, top-rated schools, various firms, shopping centers, and special events. There are also 2 light rail stations which provide access to Downtown Denver. Moreover, the community features turn-of-the-century buildings, exquisite restaurants, cafes, bars, and antique shops. There are also privately owned stores and art galleries which can be found on Main Street. Some of the notable attractions located in the city are Hudson Gardens, The Littleton Museum featuring a 19th-century farm, and Town Hall Arts Center which showcases a community theater with fun music.
The City of Littleton also celebrates special events like the Western Welcome Week which is held yearly ever since the late 1920s. There are about 40 events in the event where numerous charitable associations and local civic organizations profit from. Another occasion is the Candlelight Walk which exhibits a vibrant festival in the evening and illuminated trees on Main Street. The Twilight Criterium, held in the late summer, is commemorated in Downtown Littleton. Popular athletes participate in the 0.8-mile course and there are also concerts as well as a cruiser ride available for the public.
