History

Southern Gables' neighborhood organization was created in 1973 in response to an interest in purchasing land in the area near Lakewood CO by a car dealership (currently located at Evans and Wadsworth). Residents banded together to improve their bargaining position with the dealership and to guarantee a positive working relationship.
