About Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, Lakewood, CO

Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park is a twentieth-century history park, museum, and festival area that honors the Lakewood community. There are 15 historic buildings present, as well as over 40,000 antiques, gallery exhibits, a festival venue, an outdoor amphitheater, and many more.

The Visitor Center and Museum Store are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The grounds are open every day near Lakewood CO, and private visits can be arranged upon request.

Exhibitions

In the visitor center of Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, there are two galleries with one changing exhibition and one permanent exhibit. The main hall houses smaller-scale exhibitions near Lakewood CO.

Walk-ups are welcome at all times throughout Visitor Center hours. The hours are presently 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

An hour-long guided tour of Heritage Lakewood's historic structures will allow you to learn about Lakewood's unique background. As you take a stroll around historic Belmar Park, the former home of The Denver Post heiress May Bonfils Stanton, learn about life in early the City of Lakewood, CO. The museum's historic structures, like the 1948 Valentine Diner, the 1920s Country School, and the 1930s farmhouse, will be guided by an expert guide.

Walking Tours

The self-guided outdoor walking tour is a fun way to learn about local history, Heritage Lakewood buildings, and the Belmar Park neighborhood. You may pick up a booklet with a map for free at the Heritage Lakewood Visitor Center.

Only guided tours are available to see the interior of the structures.
