Dr. T.C. Hardy – Orthodontics

A common misconception in orthodontics, particularly with children, is to commence treatment even if just a few adult teeth have erupted. However, only a few of these cases require early treatment. While it may be true that treating early can improve the child's smile in the future, most children will need a second round of braces once all their adult teeth have come out. Dr. T.C. Hardy believes in a more conservative approach that is the one-phase-of-braces method to orthodontic treatment. This approach can help you to save you and your child money, time, and unnecessary dental work. Using Dr. T.C. Hardy's procedure, the entire treatment is done in 24 months.

Although the approach is more on the conservative side, Dr. T.C, Hardy still believes that it is essential to bring your child to an orthodontist at an early age to make sure that no severe dental issue can arise. The initial treatment is recommended when the child is around seven years of age. The first treatment can benefit some younger patients, but take note that they will not need braces until they are at least 11 years old.
